Edge comments on his recovery from torn triceps surgery

Edge recently did an interview with Comic Book to talk about a wide range of topics including the recovery process of his most recent injury.

The WWE Hall of Famer suffered a torn triceps injury when he lost to Randy Orton in a singles match at the WWE Backlash pay-per-view event in Orlando, Florida at the WWE Performance Center last month.

Now, just a month removed from getting surgery, Edge has already been asked when fans can expect to see him back in the ring.

“I don’t know, it was a month yesterday. It’s so hard to tell in that initial kind of two months where it’s at and where everything is. I’ve always been happy with the fact that I rebound from injuries pretty quickly. I got back from a torn Achilles in six months which is kind of stupid.”

Edge noted how he’s never had surgery while in his 40s so he doesn’t know how fast his body can recover.

“So I don’t know. I honestly don’t know. One thing I have learned is rather than rushing back I need to listen to my body and I need to listen to my body more I think.”

Edge recalled how his arm was sore going into the match but didn’t think it was anything to worry about and his doctor said there was a pretty good chance it was partially torn going into the match. This has made him understand how he needs to listen to his body more going forward.

“Back to the point of how long? I don’t know I’m just going to listen to my body and truly listen to my body, make sure I have self care, which I never really paid attention to before. Whether that entails yoga, cold plunges, saunas, whatever that is, I just need to do more of it, especially being 46 now.”

A torn triceps usually means at least 4 months out of action but he could face up to 8 months on the sidelines.

Edge also talked about his feud with Randy Orton, who he’d like to wrestle, and more. Check out the full interview here.
